An Investigation into the Prevalence and Association of Substance Use and Family Cohesion Among Jamaican Adolescents
Abstract: The study examined the prevalence of depression and substance use and the extent of association in 8th and 9th grade students. There was a significant difference between males (252) and females (272) depression scores. Four out of every twenty-five (4: 25) participants reported self-harm thoughts, 24% reported moderate depression ratings.
